Sadako Trust - Education Friendship Peace!
On 8 October, 2005, a massive earthquake rocked northern Pakistan & Azad Kashmir, killing over 73,000 people and injuring more than 128,000. Around 3.5 million people were left homeless by the 7.6 magnitude quake, which flattened hundreds of thousands of houses, schools, health clinics and shops over a vast and mountainous expanse of land. The Azad Kashmir's capital town of Muzaffarabad was one of the most heavily-affected localities.
